The ninth annual Children’s Hospital of Saskatchewan Radio Marathon kicked off bright and early on Wednesday, February 2 with radio announcers from stations CJWW, Magic 98.3 and The Bull turning on their microphones at 6:00 a.m. at the Centre at Circle and 8th mall.

Matt Bradley of Magic 98.3 interviews Dr. Tom Mainprize, Department Head of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Services about the maternal services which will be part of the new hospital.

The marathon raises funds for the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan to support the future Children’s Hospital of Saskatchewan. The marathon has raised more than $1.4 million for the Foundation. The total raised in the 2011 radio marathon will be announced at the end of the event on Friday, February 4.
