Saskatoon Health Region reminds everyone that Brain Awareness Week is March 12 to 18.
Join the Region for Brain Blast 2012 on Sunday, March 18 at Saskatoon City Hospital to help celebrate and learn about your brain and how it functions. Admission is free!

Brain Blast is a public passport into the complex functions of the brain. The Saskatoon City Hospital Atrium will be transformed into a maze of stations that highlight the different brain areas their function. Visitors will receive a passport to take on their journey through the stations. Prizes will be drawn for completed passports! The virtual brain maze that includes the ever popular Brain Walk has been designed with activities for all ages in mind.

Some of the participating organizations and attractions include: The Acquired Brain Injury Outreach Team, MS Society, Brain Tumour Foundation, The Alzheimer’s Society, Saskatchewan Prevention Institute, Saskatchewan Neuroscience Network, Research Posters and a Model Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) machine that showcases how MRIs enhance health diagnoses.
