The new construction access roadway.

Deliveries of construction material and equipment will be routed off of Preston Avenue and through the University of Saskatchewan (see path above) to the temporary access road.

  • No trucks will access the road during peak University hours: 7:30am-9:00am and 4:00pm-5:30pm.
  • The number of trucks using the road daily will average between nine and 19, depending on construction activity underway.
  • Precautions to keep pedestrians safe have been put in place, including reduced speed to 20 km/h around the access point and increased enforcement of speed restrictions.
  • This route will be utilized for construction deliveries not otherwise safely deliverable on College Drive and Hospital Drive to the CHS construction site.
  • The temporary access road is vital for the construction of Children’s Hospital of Saskatchewan and is expected to be used until early 2017.
