Lakeview Pioneer Lodge was the recipient of a generous gift that has helped bring more music into the lives of residents. The family of the late Irene Dickin donated a new piano in memory of their mother. Music was an important part of Irene’s life and this inspired her daughter Anne and son Stephen to give a gift to our residents that would honour her in a very special way.

Our residents enjoy music and being entertained. The importance of this gift was apparent when a 93 year-old resident comforted herself and others by providing a 45 minute recital one day. Residents recognized hymns and songs and sang along with her. Our residents, staff and families will enjoy this gift for years to come.

A sincere thank you to the Dickin family for their generosity and we look forward to a continued connection with Anne as she stops in to play for our residents. Our residents are always cheered with visitors and music!
