A vibrant new mural in front of St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon celebrates the diverse culture of the local community. Funded by Affinity Credit Union and the community, the art piece replaces the prior mural which had faded over the years.

Jean Morrison, Tammy Krueckl, Cecilia Zerr, Myrna Hewitt and community members imprint their hands in recognition of all the people who have come together in creation of the St. Paul’s Hospital mural.

“The new mural reaffirms the community relationships expressed in the original design but also reflects the growing and changing nature of our community,” says St. Paul’s Hospital CEO Jean Morrison. “The theme of One Earth, One Family reflects our value of respect for all people, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the results.”

Saskatoon Community Youth Arts Programming (SCYAP) artist Candice Grosenick painted the colourful mural basing her design on the input of over 200 individuals from hospital staff, community groups and schools.

The mural is the only one of it’s kind at a hospital in Saskatoon Health Region.
