She improved the implementation and enhancement of programs such as the Maternal Mental Health Program in Saskatoon’s three acute care hospitals. In particular, Baetz took the lead role in ensuring responsive and comprehensive psychiatric service was offered to post natal and post partum women through the initiation of the maternal mental health clinic.

She is internationally recognized for her research on the effects of religion and spirituality on mental health. Her development of a curriculum on the subject for use in educating physicians-in-training won her a prestigious award through the John Templeton Foundation.

Baetz was recognized for her work at a banquet held in November 2013. Congratulations Dr. Baetz!
