Today VP of Integrated Health Services Corey Miller met with frontline workers at The Lighthouse Supported Living, a community-based organization that provides emergency shelter, supported living and affordable housing to those in need in Saskatoon.

The Lighthouse

The Lighthouse is one of Saskatoon Health Region’s many partners that the Region is reaching out to this week.

Miller participated in a candid discussion on strategies to better serve our clients by providing services at the right time in the right place, as well as by making better use of nurse practitioners and other direct care providers on the frontlines.

Miller’s team is pursuing opportunities to increase hours of the stabilization shelter and outreach services (e.g., mobile outreach van) at The Lighthouse from 16 to 24 hours per day, and to expand clinical services by increasing nurse practitioner, intermediate paramedic and home care support in The Lighthouse setting.
