The couple delivered new arts and crafts supplies to the unit, including colouring books and bubbles. Graham also brought autographed hats for some of the children he met during his tour.

The DeLaets are strong supporters of children’s health in our province. They launched their own foundation – the Graham and Ruby DeLaet Foundation – in June 2014, the central focus of which is children’s healthcare and the development of junior golfers.

Their foundation’s first initiative was the Graham Slam Golf Tournament, held at Riverside Country Club in Saskatoon in July 2014. The event raised $375,000 for the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan.

During their visit to Saskatoon, the DeLaets had an opportunity to see the design plans and construction site for  the Children’s Hospital of Saskatchewan, which is currently under construction, and were excited to see the progress that has already been made with the building.

“The couple has toured American children’s hospitals, but this was their first visit to Saskatoon,” stated Brynn Boback-Lane, President and CEO of Children’s Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan.

Graham DeLaet is is originally from Weyburn.
