Local midwives, their clients and families gathered at a special event at Saskatoon City Hospital on Sunday, May 3, to celebrate and recognize the hard work and dedication of Saskatoon Health Region midwives:  Debbie Mpofu, Jessica Bailey, Rosalind Lydiate,  Romaine Abrams, Janice McCaskill and Alison Kinash.

May 5 is actually the internationally recognized day for highlighting the work of midwives. The theme of International Day of the Midwife this year is “Midwives for a better tomorrow.”
