Saskatoon Health Region’s Occupational Health and Safety Consultant Tony Elliott and Clinical Nurse Educator Anne Parker, conducted a Workplace Assessment and Violence Education (W.A.V.E.) training session at the Saskatoon Police Service on December 8.

The W.A.V.E. 303 program, which is a four hour training session, was taught to support Community Education days for the Saskatoon Police Service’s Crime Free Multi-Housing program group. Elliott and Parker presented stay safe concepts towards violence prevention, physical approaches and techniques during the session. W.A.V.E. programming has been actively utilized for the past five years as the Region’s primary violence training course. To date approximately over 6,000 employees have been trained in W.A.V.E. concepts.
