The resident library at Parkridge Centre, a long term care home in Saskatoon, is a space that is commonly used by residents and families to enjoy a good book, some quiet time or a calm space. Located on the second floor, the resident library hosts a variety of books, audio books, games, puzzles and movies.

Have you ever wondered who would look after such a space?

As the resident library volunteer, Barb Polley has made it her regular routine to ensure that the library space is well maintained and filled with new resources.

The space is maintained through donations from the community of all of the items that are housed within the library. Barb has gone beyond keeping the space organized; she has worked hard to secure some amazing community donations for the library.

Barb’s gift of time, organization and literary resources have made a tremendous impact on the quality of life within Parkridge Centre.
